The Buttons

Create a new random puzzle to solve.   If the confirm switch is on, and if you are already solving a puzzle, you will be asked to confirm that you want to do this.   You can get the same effect as pressing this button by shaking your iPhone or iPod.

Move back to the Home position.   If the confirm switch is on, and if you are solving a puzzle, you will be asked to confirm that you want to do this.   After returning to the Home position using this button, you are not "solving a puzzle."

Rotate the ring of numbers one ball to the left (counter-clockwise).   Here is an image of the puzzle after starting from the Home position and pressing Left once.

Exchange each pair of numbers on the same color balls, including the white 0-ball and 1-ball.   Here is an image of the puzzle after starting from the Home position and pressing Swap once.  (You can select from 341 different Swap moves, or only two on M12 Free.  These help notes assume you are using the default swap, #2.)

Rotate the ring of numbers one ball to the right (clockwise).   Here is an image of the puzzle after starting from the Home position and pressing Right once.

Flip over to the preferences page.   The settings are explained in more detail here.

Execute the combination move "A".   Combo buttons are explained in more detail here.

Undo the last step -- see Moves and Steps.

Change what some buttons do.   The "alt" version of the buttons that change are shown below.
When the "alt" button is active, it looks like this.   Touching it again will release it.

Execute the combination move "A-1", also known as "A inverse."  This move is the exact opposite of the "A" move, so when executed after "A", it undoes it, and when "A" is executed after it, the "A" undoes it.   Combo buttons are explained in more detail here.

Undo the last move -- see Moves and Steps.

Returns the puzzle to the starting random position and erases the history.  You might want to do this if you want a clean start.  If the confirm switch is on, and if you are solving a puzzle, you will be asked to confirm that you want to do this.
